I want to get rid of the Babylon thing which appears to have taken over as default Firefox opening page
I have just spent past 2 hours trying to get rid of Babylkon including sending Spybot search and destroy after it. I have removed it from IE but it has taken control of Firefox. PLease help.

A combination of most of these but especially Sintz has helped resolve the issue. Many thanks to all fellow sufferers. One further question- why hasn't FF had a word with the folk at Babylon to discourage them from this malicious behaviour?
I recently had the Babylon issue and managed to get rid of it by total luck. I installed Malwarebytes (free anti malware prog available online) and a another free programe Spywareblaster. Suddenly Babylon was gone after running both scans and restarting my system. I think it must have recogised Babylon as a problem and got rid of it.
Give it a try. You never know it might work for you.
