Firefox will not allow me to replace existing version 4.0.1 with 5.0.1
I've downloaded version 5.0.1 and when I drag the Firefox icon to the hard drive icon, I get a message that asks if I want to replace existing Firefox with the new. I agree but get an error message that I do not have permission. I am the sole admin for this computer.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
- Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
- Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
- Install the new version that you have downloaded
