I can not see encoded characters which enable issues such as buying tickets on line. If I go to the site using Internet Explorer the coded words appear.

I recently was in a web site to buy tickets for a concert. When I got to the billing part of the transaction, I was asked to type the characters that I saw. the box was blank. Next I tried to buy a new printer on line from an office supply store. Picked out the product that I wanted but could not get to checkout because I was asked to type the characters in the box, and the box was empty. Opened Internet Explorer (which I HATE) and went to office supply site, was able to see characters and buy the product.

I assume that you are referring to CAPTCHAs that do not show on web pages?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
