When I upgraded from Safari 4 to 5, I lost all bookmarks in Firefox. Import does not work; Firefox will not save new bookwarks. Suggestions?
Running Firefox 3.6.3 and Safari in Mac OS 10.6.3. Upgraded from Safari4 to 5. Lost all bookmarks in Firefox. Import says it worked, but nothing appears. Firefox will not add bookmarks either. Suggestions?

I guess something either corrupted your locked your bookmarks and history file. Try the instructions at Bookmarks and toolbar buttons not working after upgrading
You should also upgrade to Mac OS 10.6.3

You should also upgrade to Mac OS 10.6.3
The OP appears to already using OS X 10.6.3: Running Firefox 3.6.3 and Safari in Mac OS 10.6.3.
