My bookmarks wont recover from my mozilla account
My computer messed up today and i had to recover it, but i didnt get to save my bookmarks. I've had a mozilla account since 5/2/2024 (i think, thats at least what it says was the date i made my password) and i've saved a lot of bookmarks i cannot lose.
i forgot what email i had made it with tho, so i created a couple of new mozilla accounts and idk if that has messed up the profiles i'm using? i read the mozilla guide on bookmarks and i have like 3 profiles under "profile:default-release" (my settings are in danish, idk if that's what its called in english). but i cant tell which one it is? furthermore, when i click on "manage bookmarks" i get to this place that says something about bookmarks saved on html or something - which i know i havent done.
oh also, before any of that, the first thing i did was synchronize my google chrome bookmarks with firefox and idk if that has messed something up?

Hi, the first thing is distinguishing between profiles and accounts. A profile is a separate data folder, while an account provides services such as Sync that can share data between Firefox installations and profiles.
If you created a fresh Mozilla Account with a different email address, your old one is probably still out there. You can disconnect from the new one and connect to the old one, but you need the password. It's impossible to recovery your data without your old password.
Did you do the kind of recovery where you use a CD or recovery partition, or was it a Windows Refresh? A Windows Refresh typically saves a copy of your data in a temporary folder (kept for 28 days) called
C:\Windows.old
If you find that folder:
Set Windows to show hidden files and folders -- this Microsoft article has the steps:
Then explore that folder up to this point (if it exists):
C:\Windows.old\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
If you find recent data there, please pause and we can suggest how to resurrect your saved files.

okay so something weird happened this morning, when i logged back on everything had gone away from my firefox? the theme, my account was logged out, the bookmarks i had imported from google were gone. thing is, i am logged in on the oldest mozilla account i have (5/2/2024) and no bookmarks have recovered? i thought bookmarks were automatically saved within the account and would automatically show up...
anyways i'll attempt with finding that folder as you said cus i did do a windows refresh! :)

alriiight i got there (sort of), its denying me access to the folder of "app data". do you have any article or approach on how to get through the app data?
You are getting an error message that you do not have access to AppData? That's odd. Are you signed in under the same username you were using before?
okaaay oops, my bad - translation error heh. i followed the wrong path!
i got to the /Profiles folder, i see 3 folders within it (posted image)
Okay, great. I'm going to refer you to an older reply with steps to copy/paste one of those old folders to the current Profiles folder and point Firefox to it. See:
