There used to be Advanced search setting in Firefox. Now after installing it on a new system I cannot find it anywhere. Where did it go?

Thank you. That was the answer I was looking for. After signing out of Google the gear icon emerged and under it the "Advanced search". Very strange! It is worth asking Google.

What sort of advanced search? What did it do, what did it search?

Could it have been an add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org/ ?

Thank you for your reply. It is the advanced search with Google where one can specify the language, the region, etc. It used to be part of the settings and I was using it extensively before reinstalling Firefox. Cheers! Nick

Did you check the Google Settings page?

What I am looking for is this page https://www.google.com/advanced_search , which was directly acceptable through the settings menu in both Firefox and Chrome

You can open the main Google page (https://www.google.com) and click Settings on the bottom bar. In the menu that opens you can find "Advanced Search".

I knew that, that was how I retrieve the link included in my previous message. I am wondering though, why this Advanced search is not included in the settings anymore.

You must ask Google about this. For what it is worth, if I open Google in a PB mode window (i.e. aren't logged in), then I get the gear icon at the top of the results page.
