Open some extensions link (like .ica) in spite of downloading it
When I connect to my company portal, I have some picture with link to virtual machines like machinexx.ica
The problem is now with the new release, I have to download the .ica link to be able to execute it.
the links with .html are still opening without the need to save the link. So there should be a way to have .ica file open automatically in spite of loosing time to save the link and open and go and delete the downloaded link.
is there a way (other that switching to other browser) to change the behavior of Firefox ?

You should check with your IT helpdesk on how to securely open company portal on Firefox. Firefox is just a user forum help and can't help with IT connections that is done with you IT helpdesk staff. And it could be they recommend using different Browser to do your connections as well.

But it doesn't change the problem ... .ica link shall be opened and not donwloaded.
I guess it is the same for html link, you want to open it.
