Firefox no longer asks for master password.
I liked the idea of having browser passworded and was in process of moving passwords into browser but after syncing to another device I am not being asked for master password even after changing it. It feels insecure and I am worried FF is compromised.

Note that the Primary Password is used locally to lock/unlock the logins stored in the Password Manager (about:logins page) and never leaves the computer (i.e. is not part of Sync). Each device can/should have its own Primary Password if you use the PP on a connected device.
OK I understand that part now. But Firefox is not asking me for the password anymore even after I changed it. Is Firefox Desktop any different than the browser? Maybe I dont need to use the PRIMARY password (not saying master anymore feels like kink shaming but nbd) but I still want to know why it stopped working and figure out issues with cookies not being cleared. This is some w3 bs I think. Thanks for responding.
I am not lazy. i am reading up on it and will follow these directions:
https://kb.mozillazine.org/Password_Manager#Troubleshooting but its weird I can only find questions from people wanting it to stop not having it stop on its own.
