After the last Firefox update (83.0) it seems Google hyjacked my browser with asking to comply with their terms. There was no change of avoiding this popup even after trying not to use the "OK with all" button. Trying to suit the compliance with my choices took a great deal of time.

With the update I lost the most used links in my browserbar and when I open a new tab the same thing occured.

What went wrong and why did Mozilla "Let it happen"

Hi

This is not an issue with Firefox but is something that Google asks users from time to time when using their services.
