"Fastly error: unknown domain: www.ebay.com. Please check that this domain has been added to a service. Details: cache-bos4642-BOS"

Why is Firefox blocking me from my eBay account this is the 3rd different error message in a month! The previous "408" error seems to have finally been fixed. At least it eventually allowed access, this one does not ever since last Sun. AM 6/7/2020 when Firefox loaded an update that knocked me off our virtual video Church service. I had to reboot computer and router to get working again. Have not been able to access eBay ever since. Is there a fix? Why do they keep doing this to us?

I am running Win 7, 64.

All help with this greatly appreciated, and I thank you, in advance.

Bob T., Lowell, MA, USA

UPDATE: Aug. 1, 2020:

None of the 2 respondents solutions below worked. No responses to my reply's to them ever received. As noted in my replies shortly after posting this problem Firefox installed an update, and many more since, after that update the problem has disappeared and I've not had it again. As Ithought it may well have been a software glitch.

I consider this matter resolved and closed.

As noted in my 8-1-2020 question update, this problem was apparently resolved by a software update to the Firefox program. I have entered this reply so I can mark this problem "solved". (Couldn't find any other proper way to do this.)

Thanks for your assistance with this, Bob T.

Arman,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately your solution did not seem to work. After clearing the cache, I chose to keep the cookies, I did not get any indication that it had been done. I waited about 2-3 minutes and attempted your safe mode instruction, "ctrl+shift+N" and nothing happened. I minimized my Firefox browser Outlook mail page so I was only showing my "desktop" screen and tried your safe mode again. Nothing changed. I went back into my Outlook mail to the messages I have from eBay and tried to access one or more of them and received that darn "404 Not Found" error message again. What I find even more strange is that after trying for an hour or so to gain access & posting my plea for help I went to have some lunch. When I returned to my computer I was able to access eBay. (This was before I saw your message.) I probably should've left it alone but really would like to have this fixed as it's a pain in the butt and I have never experienced anything like this before either.

You need to follow the above instructions as posted. Including cookies.

Have you tried using: https://www.ebay.com/

FredMcD,

Thank you for your input. Strangely after I posted my above reply to Arman I gave it one last attempt and was successful in getting into my eBay account! This problem is so weird as I never know when it's going to happen and for how long. In response to your 2nd suggestion: "Have you tried using: https://www.ebay.com/ "? Yes, I have, on IE and Google Chrome and it connected me OK. I only seem to have the problem on Firefox when it happens. If it happens again I'll try your 1st suggestion and clear the "Cookies".

Thanks again, Bob T.
