Code signature for Firefox reported as "Resource or signature modified" by little snitch
"As per the subject line....how should I interpret that? does it mean that something has been compromised? I googled the topic but can't find much. Other apps/processes show "signature valid" by little snitch.
thanks for your help!!!

"Little Snitch is a host-based application firewall for macOS. It can be used to monitor applications, preventing or permitting them to connect to attached networks through advanced rules. It is produced and maintained by the Austrian firm Objective Development Software GmbH."
"Unlike a stateful firewall, which is designed primarily to protect a system from external attacks by restricting inbound traffic, Little Snitch is designed to protect privacy by limiting outbound traffic. Little Snitch controls network traffic by registering kernel extensions through the standard application programming interface (API) provided by Apple."
Have you checked out Little Snitch support?

Overall, I am curious where you downloaded Firefox from?
IMO, the only safe source is getting it directly from Mozilla.

I am not a "Mac guy", but that app strikes as something that may have been packaged by a 3rd party and was included as part of a Firefox installation DMG package. Or perhaps you installed that app before installing a genuine Firefox package and it "took over" Firefox when you installed the Firefox DMG installer.
I contacted Little Snitch but haven't heard from them yet.
I downloaded Firefox from Mozilla and upgraded via Firefox.
Little Snitch is a paid app, not included with Firefox as far as I know.
Well I just deleted Firefox and re-installed using Safari Browser to download. According to Little Snitch the code signature for Firefox is now "valid".
However..when I check with LS now on Safari it says "resource or signature modified".
What is going on? What does this mean?
hi,sounds like its all over the place and even though you could not find out much about it,it seems to be everywhere. try looking on task manager. i dont know if it is important but you have just let anybody see your your name and i.p.address. last year i had 4 attempts to sign into my m/soft acc from Russian sources but they couldnt get past my p/word. just a thought david
How can I delete that info from the post?
