Im a bit frustrated with this as I've accumulated a bit many themes and I would rather not have to go through each individual theme to remember what it looks like, lol. My first assumption was possibly something to do with flash, or maybe a re-install of Firefox. Flash wasnt the issue, but what really stumped me was when I had re-installed Firefox , the image previews for every single theme had actually loaded and remained for about 5 minutes. Then all of a sudden, gone. So obviously the images are capable of being displayed, but something is being difficult. If anyone happens to recognize this issue, a solution would be so very appreicated. :) Thank you!

You can check for problems with the extensions registry files in the profile folder.

Try to to reset the extensions registry and rename extensions.json (extensionsOLD.json) and rename/remove previously used extensions files like extensions.ini and extensions.sqlite when present and rename/remove compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

You can check for possible updates in case of issues.

  • click the cogwheel button (left of the Search bar) on the about:addons page to "Check for updates"

If this didn't help then delete add-ons.json and possibly prefs.js in case there is a problem with preferences.
