Today when I started FF I found only one tab open. I had pinned tabs & others. In the FF menu there is no item, "Restore Previous Session", nor anywhere else I can find.

On advice I saved a copy of my sessionstore-backups folder to my desktop. But I can't find an option to restore either them or the ones that should have been saved.

What do I do next? Thanks.

Hi, do you have the Menu Bar open at the top ? Mouse to top of browser and Right Click in a empty spot, Click Menu Bar. Check under History.

you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem. Never work with original files.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

You may have corrupt sessionstore [v56] sessionstore.jsonlz4 file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

Don't delete the files if you need to rescue any data from them, just move them out of the profile folder to some location where Firefox doesn't look for them. You can try to read out their contents using this tool: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/scrounger.html

Thanks for replying. I found the file and the folder and deleted both. Opened FF and there still is no Restore button under the FF menu.

Was there supposed to be? I have backed up the folder to my desktop if I need it, but I would of course like to have the session I ended with restored, and the Restore function back again. Picky, I suppose. :)
