That is not a default feature in Firefox, it was added by an extension. I see that an extension named Yahoo! Toolbar 3.2.3.20140316101110 ({635abd67-4fe9-1b23-4f01-e679fa7484c1}) is inactive, perhaps that extension is what added that feature to Firefox.

Please see Yahoo Help for support for that extension.

I still need help with this problem. The moderator was helpful in telling me of this situation, but I still don't know how to fix .

Again, I always got the number of incoming mail notifications in the form of a number in a red circle and it would stay there until I went to my mail. Once in a while I see this circle and then it goes away. I always have to go to my mail and see what is coming in. Hope someone can tell me what to do or where to go and fix this. Thanking everyone who attempts to help. Mark....

Hi Mark, what's your home page?

If you are referring to Yahoo mail, they've gone through some changes recently with the Verizon/Oath acquisition and things may be in flux. You could try their support if their pages aren't working normally.
