Firefox has crashed a lot lately and I have no idea why. Now, it is extremely slow, I tried a few things, they didn't work.
I have tried turning off hardware accelerator, I have not found any files to delete on sessionrestore.js as recommended in the forums, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, it is still very very very slow and it just started being slow yesterday. Not sure what else to do, and I am a LAYMEN, so please explain in very great detail.

It should be noted that I recently turned of the hardware acceleration (i.e. about an hr ago), so not sure if this fixed the crashing problem, but still mozilla is very slow now.
thanks, please try to go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser. see if this can make a difference in regards to the slowness after you've restarted firefox once.

Wow you're amazing, what exactly did that do to make the PC run faster? (out of curiosity). Thanks.
this is an interface for accessibility tools (like screenreaders for the blind), once it is active it may slow things down. other third-party software might also (mis)use this interface to get access to the content onscreen in firefox - a popular example that we have seen problems with in the past few weeks was the realplayer downloader.

What is the Accessibility Service Indicator?
Not sure but after I took your advice it became fast again.
However, my firefox still keeps crashing randomly, I just got this report here:

I was wondering if there was a way to stop the crashing, it closes everything I have open on my pc even chrome and microsoft applications like word and ppt sometimes.
it could be an issue with malware on your syste -, next to the security software already in place, please try to run a scan with various other security tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & eset online one-time scanner.

I have in the past scanned my PC with Norton and malware bytes but it still crashes.
hi, please run a scan now with all the mentioned tools.
there appears to be a file named mcff64_abuyujfhi.dll on your system hooking in the firefox process - the randomized parts and the fact there isn't much about what can be found about this file on the internet except that it may be related to https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/109a2fd9be1ee9acfc0006e69613497e49e5d3167ac65b7aa9c6573fd5337c25/analysis/
if the 3 scan tools don't find anything, please search for the file manually on your system to see where it's located and may belong to.
