I've been using Firefox as my major browser after the version 57 came out. But recently my Firefox 58 installed in ubuntu 16.04 took forever to load the first page after start. Actually I did a little timing. It took 90s for Firefox to load the first page after start, while it took Chrome only 3s. So I am sure network is not the problem. If I wait for a period of time after starting Firefox before open the first page, the speed is good. But I don't want to wait until Firefox is "fully awake". I tried the following : start Firefox in safe mode. Not working. uninstall and reinstall Firefox(57/58/59). Not working. the firewall is not enabled. Any idea how to fix this? Please help! This is driving me nuts. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
