My firefox taskbar icon "glows" red on instantiation & roll-over. What does this mean?
I notice a recent change in my Firefox task bar icon. The icon background changes from gray to a red "glowing" image during instantiation and subsequently when my mouse cursor is rolled over it. Firefox is running on Windows 7 Professional. This does not occur on another box running Win 10. What gives -- is it a warning of impending danger, explosion, doom, ...?

Thank you!
If I hover or right-click the Firefox icon on the Windows 7 Taskbar, it definitely has some kind of "blush" to it that I don't remember seeing before.
Several aspects of the theme changed in Firefox 57, so possibly this is also from that update.
I wondered if it might not be a result of an update, but I'm glad to hear that someone else has experienced this "blush" or "flush" too -- good description! Possibly, the Firefox has become embarrassed or hot?
Where is that showing at? A more complete screen shot of the problem helps others identify where it is coming from.
Hi WestEnd, it's on the Windows 7 task bar. If you hover your mouse over the icon while Firefox is running, it gets a "glow."
Here is a comparison between the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52 -- pale orange blush -- and Firefox 57. Perhaps the shift toward more red is due to the change in the colors of the "fox" (red panda).
Thanks, jscher2000. Your observation of the difference between the blushes of Ff 52 ESR & 57 is interesting. The pink/red blush appears to me as a warning or indication for concern.

Another page that discusses this "Color hot-track" feature.
It seems to part of Aero, so if you would disable Aero then this glowing will be gone.
