from the start menu or shortcuts, on opening FF browser I get two identical copies (iterations) of the browser. They each open with 4 identical tabs. If I try to close any tab it reminds me that 4 tabs are oped and if I close one both browser windows (pages) close. Help?

Suggest save your profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data Or the issue could be in your profile. At least get bookmarks or what ever is important. Go to Add Remove Programs and see what it lists there for Firefox and what versions it says you have.

Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. (maybe, )

reinstall Firefox with Full Version Installer of 57 Quantum from here : https://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Mozilla-Firefox-for-Windows/1032985422/1 they get the files a day before goes up on Mozilla Servers. Been going here 20yrs. Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
