I'm using Firefox in Ubuntu Linux. I updated the kernel and some software today, which updated some aspect of Firefox, and now the bookmarks drop-down tab on the toolbar doesn't work. It drops down, but most of my bookmarks are gone. The few that are left are now in the "other bookmarks" folder, but can't be clicked or moved. When I create a new bookmark, it allows me to create and name it, but it doesn't show up. HOWEVER, my bookmarks DO work properly when accessed from the menu bar and when I create a new bookmark, it shows up here.

Is there any way to restore the bookmarks toolbar tab so that it shows the same information, arranged in the same way as the bookmarks in the menu bar? I've already tried resetting Firefox and also changing some file names so that Firefox recreates them.
