how to enter website icon on desktop

just installed FF - prev using IE - how does one create a desktop icon for a favorite website (or where do i find "how to"}

I think the best method is to drag the little "i-in-a-cirle" icon that appears to the left of the address in the address bar to the Windows desktop.

Of course, you need to make Firefox into a "resizable" window in order to be able to do that, or you won't be able to drop the icon on the desktop.
