Firefox Sync doesn't put an icon on the desktop, nor in the browser UI.

well I don't know what you'd call the small black box that has the sync picture from the bottom of my firefox start page but it's there. It's much bigger than all the other little icons that are apparently shortcuts to downloads, bookmarks, history, add-ons, sync & options. Only the the sync has a larger picture (black with the white symbol in the center. So whether this is called an icon or whatever, it's there and very annoying. I checked the sync page and see a "disconnect" and "manage" listed under my email. I clicked on disconnect but that didn't get rid of the black sync box on my firefox homepage or my desk top, Help!!

Please provide a screenshots of both Firefox showing the Firefox Start Page and your Desktop showing that image.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.
