Some how I have this Safe Browser open when I open a new tab. I do not know where it came from, and I cannot seem to delete it.

I tried to go to uninstall a program, and I could not find them in my list of programs.

I have written the company about this issue. I do not know how it got on my computer, but I do not want it.

Yahoo is set as my homepage. I recently upgraded Firefox. Maybe it piggybacked when I did that. I just do not know, but I do know I do not want it.

If any one knows how to get rid of it, please let me know. Thanks!!

Hi Yvonne, the very last part of that address points to Email 3.1.1, which is one of your extensions. Not sure how it got there or what it does that you want it to do, but considering this bad behavior, you might want to disable it.

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. All extensions are optional. If in doubt, disable. Or check for an Options button to see whether hijacking your new tab page is an optional feature.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any improvement?

What company did you write to??

If you right-click a blank area of the new tab page that you see, then choose View Page Info, what does that dialog show is the address of the page?

Thank you for your response.

I looked at the web address. It stated the following:

http://search.searchlf.com/?uid=91cfd97b-db6e-4ebb-alad-e857020063dd&uc=201606288&ap=appfocus5&source=googlepartners&page=newtab&implementation_id=email_3.1.1

This is all I know.

Success!!!!!! This took care of the problem. I believe whatever this was must have piggybacked with some other program. Thank you again!!!!!
