I have tried all of the relevant extensions and suggestions concerning the ability to auto-fill web forms in Firefox, but none work even remotely as well as Safari. Everything about Firefox is better than Safari EXCEPT that. Why can't Mozilla replicate or at least emulate this important feature?

BTW, I am not saying that form filling in Firefox doesn't work. It does work but 1) it is NOT automatic (it requires field clicks) and 2) it does not intuitively recognize the form info being requested. Somehow, magically, Safari knows what to enter into each field, no matter which site I visit (even new ones) and does it without any input from me and without having filled out a 'master' form as required by most form-filler extensions. Sometimes Safari fills the wrong info, but only rarely.
