Please first make sure that any installed antiviruses or firewalls are not blocking connections to these sites. You can check to see if there is a cert with the name of the antivirus in this menu -> click on the lock icon in the url bar_-> then click on the arrow next to "x connection"-> More info -> then the Security Tab -> View Certificate If you see it, [[Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet]] and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Antivirus_software
