uninstall a programme
Wished to download favourite YouTube videos (Opera, Life of Brian etc) Put a recommended "Ummey" on then told only very limited, and not played back properly. Then tried Freemake Video converter, and only AFTER loading, told it was $89, and do not know how good/will work, it is. THEN saw reports of problems, was worried, and tried to uninstall from my 2011 MacBook 11" Air. Any help gratefully received, at my advanced years need to be simple if possible......thanks, hopefully!

If someone wants money before a program will work, just remove it & find another. Many will let you use the program before you pay for it.
What are you having problems downloading? Have you tried download managers?
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
Hi Fred, thanks for your time, and quick reply. I'm now somewhere with no ready access to the internet, just an odd hour. So I've not had chance to try M's add-ons web page yet. However, I was struggling to uninstall the unwanted programme - usually there are clear links, but not in this case......will keep trying, and thanks again. But Just get absolutely bombarded with dozens of adverts and "essential" links everywhere I try.
What is the name f the program?

Fred - really appreciate your time and effort on this! Thanks for all your suggestions; I did have Adblock on another PC some time ago, and found difficulties with it - but maybe an earlier version? so will try again.
The programme I loaded, was Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate; this was not exactly the one I found, but was re-directed from another link recommended (as free, by Steve Horton, on PC adviser) - Freemake Video Converter. I've just looked again, it is now $59 for 1 Mac - not a bad price, but still worried about some negative reports on it elsewhere: It does not appear in my applications forder, and I can't see a way to uninstall it
Are you using a shortcut to run the program? Check it's properties. It may have the folder location. There are a number of programs that can help out. Try a web search.
