A jetpack/newtab malware has seized all my newtab processing -- how can i get rid of it?
When I try to do a newtab, this thing: "resource://jid1-g80ec8llebk5fq-at-jetpack/newtab/data/newtab.html" is in control and does not display my frequently used tabs. In fact, over the days, it has replaced all my tabs with tabs for sites I never visit, like Walmart, CNN, JAVA, flickr, tumblr. It also changes the edit button setting to 'class="unselectable"'. This is a huge retrogade step. How can I get rid of this malware??

hello, please remove extensions like maps galaxy or new tab by yahoo which might take over the default newtab page... Disable or remove Add-ons Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page

Can't thank you enough! I have no idea how that extension got onto my machine!!! Thanks again! ( I never look at extensions, just add-ons. Hopefully I'll be smarter in the future.)
