Skype automatically creating new tab in Firefox, even when FF is closed

A new tab/window labeled Skype is being automatically and repeatedly being created in Firefox. It will even auto launch Firefox to do this. Here is what is in the URL:

Is this a Skype or Firefox issue and how do I resolve this problem?

A new tab/window labeled Skype is being automatically and repeatedly being created in Firefox. It will even auto launch Firefox to do this.
