are the answers for changing default on windows 8.1 the same as what you are showing for Firefox mail client
when I want to send something to someone from a website, I go to File, then click on Email Link brings me to where I can send mail out but to MSN instead of Outlook. com or windows live mail. Are the instructions to change the default the same as windows 7 and Vista, that was the instructions I saw. Also I do not understand default, can someone explain that to me. thanks. To change your default program in windows 8, the instruction is slightly different from windows 7. Do following:
- Hover your cursor at the bottom right and click on the search icon. (The default search method of windows 8/8.1)
- Search for Default Programs
- You'll see all the installed software at left side under Programs
- Click the e‑mail program you'd like to use.
- Click Set this program as default.
