Firefox crashes
Not sure why recently Firefox has been crashing frequently - numerous times per day. Seems like it started right after the latest upgrade of the Firefox software. Is anyone else having issues?
Thank you.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers, click it and select Submit.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
I apologize for my ignorance, but I do not see anywhere to "mark" the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports. Do you mean open each of them, and copy all of the content from each bug report here?
I did disable the older version of the Adobe PDF plug-in. Thank you for suggesting that!

Open the about:crashes page. Using you mouse, start at the top of the list. Click once. Then, holding down the left button, move the mouse so the top most reports are highlighted. Then Copy the block. Then Paste the block in the Reply box below.

Do Not disable old programs. Remove them.

I'm sorry, but when I click on an item in the list on the about:crashes page, it functions as a link and opens the report for the item on a separate page; I am unable to select more than one item on the list at a time.
As far as the older plug in, there is no option to remove it from Firefox's list in the menu, nor does it appear in the Windows programs information.

We can work with the pic you sent. Marking the crash numbers is the same as marking in any text reader. Click the mouse on the text where you want to start, then with the left button down, go to the end of what you want to mark. Stop, and let go of the button.
As far as the older plug in, there is no option to remove it from Firefox's list in the menu, nor does it appear in the Windows programs information.
Follow these instructions;
Type about:plugins<enter> in the address bar. Now search for the plug-in.
Example; Adobe Acrobat File: nppdf32.dll,nppdf32.dll Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\browser\nppdf32.dll,C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AIR\nppdf32.dll Version: 11.0.9.29 State: Enabled Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.9
This will show you the path to that program. Copy the Path Only. Also note the name of the file, and remember it. Now Close Firefox. Open your file browser and paste the path in the address bar. Find the file, and delete it. Now you can restart Firefox. Warning ! Remember to delete the right program.

Try to select starting from the word Report ID (I don't think that will trigger any links).
Of the 3 that Fred typed out, the first is a hang in the Flash plugin, while the second and third are "Out of Memory" crashes at 93% and 86% memory full. Firefox definitely becomes sluggish and can be unstable when memory usage exceeds 80%.
Do you know whether it is Firefox excess memory? You can keep an eye on it using the Windows 7 Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc). Either:
- Details tab: if you don't have a Memory column displayed, you can use View > Select Columns to add it, then click the column heading once or twice to sort the largest memory user to the top.
- Click the Performance tab then Resource Monitor. (Once that separate window loads, you can close the Task Manager.) In the Resource Monitor, the CPU section probably opens by default, click the Memory bar to expand that section.
