What do I have to do in order to save an email to a folder on my desk top?

I have tried every thing to save an email to a folder that is on my desk top. Nothing has worked.

Right-click and use "Save Page As..."

I opened the email, then right clicked, then clicked "saves as" and

It worked !!!
