firefox won't start after upgrade

I upgraded to firefox 4 recently and since then it just wont open, my os is window xp and when I click on the firefox icon I see firefox.exe in the task manager under processes, I tried clicking on 'End Process" but it doesnt help. I also tried removing and reinstalling.. and checked if kaspersky might be blocking it but it isn'nt ... what can i do?

same here. suddenly stopped working. Now using Chrome. Anyone got any ideas?
