Why am I being told to shut down Firefox by Firefox and other apps when I already have?
One example: CCleaner tells it won't perform an operation (cleaning Internet cache) without closing Firefox. However, I've already closed it!

Check the task manager to see if a firefox.exe process is still running. For details on how to do that see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Kill_application
