The automatic Firefox Update is blocked by business policy: DisableAppUpdate= true ! How can I change it, in AbleAppUpdate = true or DisableAppUpdate = false, without a course of programmers. Help me, please. With best wishes Gerhard. My Email address: GerhardVieten@web.de

I can offer you only a partial response.

The answer depends on how the business policy is implemented. Regardless, you might or might not have permissions sufficient to make the change you seek.

If your machine is a mac or Linux machine, or a Windows machine with a file called policies.json in a folder called distribution within the FireFox installation folder, and you have permissions for accessing and changing that folder, you can delete the policies.json file, restart FireFox and you will be able to update.

If the policy is implemented with Windows Active Directory, you need permissions to alter X:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions, you can make the change you need, but I am not familiar with the steps in doing so.

Without permissions sufficient to make the change, you won't be able to make the change.

Hallo, Carla Rogers

Zunächst vielen Dank für Ihre prompte Antwort, aber sie war nicht hilfreich, weil die aufgeführten Dateien nicht in meinem Windows-System gefunden wurden.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
