While using Facebook, I changed some Meta setting to block ads, then unblocked it. After this, Firefox does not show any Facebook info. Switching to Edge, everything shows as normal. Can't see any setting on the Firefox settings page that controls this.

วิธีแก้ปัญหาที่เลือก

You can uninstall and reinstall Firefox to replace damaged program files. But since you tested in Troubleshoot Mode (success!) and in a private window (success!), I don't think the program files are damaged. It is more likely one of your add-ons causing the problem.

You shared a list of your extensions, and the one that seems most likely to be meddling in the page is:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/adblock-for-firefox/

Does that extension have an method to create a site exception for Facebook? If that one doesn't play well with Facebook, you could look at an alternative such as

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Hello,

We're sorry to hear that the page doesn't work as expected. In order to look for the root cause, please follow the steps below and provide us with more information to troubleshoot your issue.

  1. Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield Fx89ShieldIcon icon at the left of the address bar.
    • If ETP is enabled, try disabling it. Does the problem persist?
  2. If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache. Does it help?
  3. If it does not help, also try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website). Does it help?
  4. If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. Does the problem persist?

Looking forward to your update!

Your first suggestions did not work, but putting FF in troubleshoot mode worked. However, restarting FF made the problem come back. What should I do in troubleshoot mode to diagnose the problem?

If the problem does not happen in Troubleshoot Mode, the most likely cause is an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please see Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

What about uninstalling and re-installing FB? Could that fix the issue? Will it destroy all my shortcuts?

Hi Göran

Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox?

Not AFAIK.

But I noticed another thing: When I start FF in this "Private surfing" mode, Facebook loads perfectly ok.

It would be nice not to have to use it, so what about un-installing FF?

How I love tireless volunteers! Especially that you checked my extensions. I wasn't even aware that you were able to.

That solved the problem like song. FB came back up. Thanks a million!

Just to assure you that we can't see into your computer, the list was added to the thread when you used the "Share Data" button.
