How do I get the bookmark sidebar back when clicking the icon? No, do not tell me to click ctrl+B, I want my icon to work like it always has.

I want to click my bookmark icon, have it open my bookmark sidebar, and have it remain open until I click the icon again. Like it was before the last update was pushed onto me. Is it too much to ask for basic controls? I can tell by Googling it that I'm hardly the only one with this problem. I know it must still be an option, it would be dumb to reduce usability just to change something for change's sake. This drop-down menu setup is beyond frustrating, especially when 2 weeks ago, this wasn't an issue. Why did you guys do this?

Seriously, David

Hi David, which button are you using? I think Firefox 57 displays the Sidebar button and Library button by default. The Sidebar button should open the sidebar to the last sidebar you used (Bookmarks, History, etc.).

I suggest adding the Bookmarks Menu button if you want to be sure the Bookmarks sidebar is always opened (although that involves two clicks). You can add it from Customize, or use the "Library" button as described in the article linked below:

Does that help?
