Firefox crashes
Running a Windows 10.x installation on a Lenovo laptop, with 4GB RAM.
Have been experiencing a series of Firefox crashes since at least update 38 (now on 44.x.x).
Connection stability not an a known issue (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5113494093).
Crashes (and hangs) most frequently associated with running Google Gmail. Hangs most often when Gmail is trying to open the Google chat component, and sometimes, when running video from this pay site (http://www.xtraframe.tv/).
Last few crash reports enclosed. Am getting annoyed enough to consider switching browsers, but having similar issues with Microsoft IE, and Edge (although not as frequently).

Frustration abounds. Any suggestions welcomed.

Hello,
Based on your crash reports, it seems your Firefox crashes in two different ways. One type of crash tends to be often caused by Skype Click to Call. Do you happen to have Skype Click to Call installed?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Fred/Gert:
Thanks to both of you for offering suggestions. I used Fred's solution first, since it involved a restart, but have no way to determine if this corrected the problem since the hangs/crashes might occur a few minutes after a restart, or hours later.
I then applied Gert's solution (killing Skype Click To Call) and will sit on it for several hours to see if crashes again. The Google Chat component in Gmail started like it was supposed to do.
