Please put these 2 add-ons on the blocklist - causing adware attacks

These two "Media Player 1.1" and "Media Viewer 1.1" add-ons have been peppering me with viruses since my Google Chrome days. I keep uninstalling and disabling them, but even though I have a security setting on the browser that SHOULD keep them from coming back, there's still a lot of junk popping up on my scans. I take a peek, and - lo and behold - those pesky little... things have gotten their revenge (under different but similar names). Really, the only way I can get rid of the problem is by going into my registry and deleting the files myself. Is there any way Mozilla can stop this issue? Thanks.

You may also want to review your installs in the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Clicking the "Installed on" column heading helps in surfacing bundled programs that you might not have realized you were installing.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
