For example when I type a word in search bar it begin to give suggestions from search engine, so DON'T HAVE TO TYPE THE WHOLE SEARCH PHRASE!!! The same behavior is in Google Chrome address bar. So in Chrome address bar and search bar are combined into one which is very comfortable for users. Here in Firefox you have two different bars which is meaningless. I used Chrome before, and usually by force of habit type in address bar to search something and have to type the whole phrase there to start search. It's very stupid and make using the address bar for searching useless. Screenshots attached. So, don't we have any add-on or option to merge or combine the bars or to implement smart search in address bar? Thanks.

Firefox has been crashing randomly (not at start up) and without warning (is responsive until the crash) on both my work and home computers. My IT person at work has reinstalled drivers, updated versions, uninstalled/reinstalled, etc and to no avail. My home Firefox is now crashing as well. There are no viruses on either computer (we ran virus scans just in case).
Since this is happening on multiple non-related computers my feeling is that this is a Firefox issue and I'm guessing others are having the same issue.

I have a font problem using Firefor 37.0.2 under Windows 7. Fonts on websites look pixelated and are not displayed as clear as they look in other browsers. I already found another thread on a similiar issue but unfortunately, none of the advices there worked for me. Here is my troubleshooting information. Thanks a lot for your help!

My cache empties on closing the browser and I delete history every day. Still most times, the connection time is horrible, sometimes up to 80 seconds. I run Malwarebytes and Super Anti Spyware every night. Kaspersky anti-virus runs constantly so it's up to the minute protection. This only started about 7 weeks ago and I've tried all the suggestions I could find on the web, without results. My server is Comcast, with 50mbps and I've been very happy with them for the past 3 years. I'm at my wits end and don't know where to turn. Can anybody give me help?

Hi, Would be great if you could help. I use Windows 7. Some major Windows update must have been applied that really messed up a few things, including my Firefox browser. Issue 1: All my bookmarks are gone. Issue 2: When I try to locate the Profile Folder (to try and get my old bookmarks, permitted sites etc.) I get an error message instead. It reads "[path] refers to a location that is unavailable." Issue 3: When I set Firefox as my default browser, the next day I have to repeat this step, and both icons in the start menu and on the taskbar are not there anymore. Is there any way of fixing these issues?

I am running Firefox 37.02, Windows 7. I also have shockwave flash addons V184.108.40.206 & V220.127.116.11. The V18 version is beta and was downloaded from Adobe in attempts to resolve this on-going problem. It did not solve it. Through trial and error, I have determined that when I disable the addons mentioned above (note; disabling one seems to disable the other) I am able to get website videos to play (for example: videos on golfchannel.com) but not another (example: www.nbcphiladelphia.com). Conversely, if the addons are enabled, the videos on the www.nbcphiladelphia.com site work but those of the golfchannel.com do not. By "do not" I mean that the preceding commercial video plays but the main subject matter video that is to run afterwards does not. I get a black screen and the commercial video recycles again and again. I contacted the support group at golfchannel.com who said they were not aware of any problems. They suggested I use the Chrome browser which is what they use without problems.

First, I'm a very novice user when it comes to anything related to Firefox. I have basic understanding of my profile, but certainly can't get into any code.
I've also looked at previous threads on this topic and have tried the solutions. Those have not worked. I have taken some screenshots to help describe what I have tried:
I went to this profile folder. In it, I changed "sessionstore.js" to "sessionstore.old". I then went into several of the subfolders, "sessions", "sessionbackups", and "sessionstore-backups". Each one had files which were timestamped from before this morning. I copied them, then pasted in the folder shown in the image, renaming to "sessionstore.js". When I did this, I had firefox closed. Each time I reopened firefox, and restored previous session, the session which restored was the one I opened this morning. Is there something about this newest update which I need to do differently? Thanks

2 months ago I deleted some history from the Firefox Option menu. From then all my important history got deleted. Since I had no backup I couldn't restore them till now. From that day another problem caused. Whatever kink I visit it is not saved in the address bar. For example I've visited google.com for 3K times. But it is not saved in the address bar. For this reason everytime I want to go to a site I need to type that and it's really painful. Is there any solution about this.

I have been using firefox since it came out. Right after Netscape in fact. It had just about always been a light weight browser. Fast and it worked. Very few glitches. But over the past few versions, the quality has gone down hill. Why ? Whom ever is in charge of it, has lost focus. Please solve the glitches. There are graphical glitches as well as download glitches. Actually there are a lot of glitches that are even memory related. And I have read post after post, with not one of these problems getting fixed. I have even posted questions, and I get the same exact response every time "please reset in safe mode" ... "shut your anti-virus off" ... and one time I even got the response "get chrome, its better". Seriously ? has firefox gotten this bad that we all have to resort to chrome ? I can't stand chrome. But if one were to sit back and look at firefox, its JUST LIKE CHROME ! I don't not like the looks of or the direction of Firefox because its like the developers prefer chrome. ???? #$%#$%?#$?%#?$%
I know about forcing us firefox users to have to CHANGE our settings to go back to the old style, but with each new update, it resets and you just get tired of doing that. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TOO ! I loved firefox the way it WAS. But now with all this bloated crap that is getting installed into Firefox lately, its no longer viable as a good choice between the major browsers. It's pathetic that i am being forced to have to go to chrome because it can handle more then 2 tabs open without falling apart. I'm very disappointed in Mozollia team. It's like they don't care anymore. The Quality is gone.
I know I am ranting here, but dang it, I have been waiting for even half these bugs to get fixed for the past 8 version updates. All I am seeing is more "features" and not enough fixes. The graphical tab glitches, the lock ups, all because of something gone wrong with these past updates. I have even seen people complain about it in the forums here. Like I said, even I posted a problem about the failed downloads. And people tried the usual responses. but apparently no one has a clue whats really going on with firefox because its become too bloated. I said it once and I'll repeat it.. The Quality in Firefox is gone.
If I get banned or this post gets censored, it just goes to show whats been happening to firefox lately.

Last night when I closed firefox I had no issues and many tabs open. I have had these same tabs that I use for many months now and today when I opened firefox all of them are "New Tabs." hitting the back button doesn't do anything, I cannot get anything out of sync even though I hit the sync button a week ago, I tried to restore but there's nothing to restore and such... I've also been getting a message stating that Chrome script or whatever has frozen what do to "such as debug / stop script/ continue. Is there any way to get my tabs back? the only reason I use firefox over Chrome is because It doesn't load all of my previous session tabs when I open it (but I believe I'm going to chrome now because of all these issues). I have Antivirus, ran malware bytes, and don't need someone to say "did you make sure it was plugged in / did you turn it on / off." The sync doesn't make sense and I cannot find anything relevant on how to Download possibly tab history or an auto integrate setting. A solution would be most welcome.

I have been trying to access certain websites and I keep getting secure connection failure for about a week now. When I try using other browsers they don't work either. I tried most of the troubleshooting methods mention here but its still persists. Below are the screenshots of the message I receive and the browser console error message.

My site has high resolution images in each gallery, average size is about 3.5Mb per each image. After the 7th click of the next button "-------->" or even the 7th click of the random button "RANDOM", all I get is the loading circle spinning forever, the next image will not load.
All galleries works fine in other browsers.
Not sure if this is a refresh issue or a memory overload or what is happening. I have tested this on several different computers with the same effect. Maybe there is a limit on the amount of cache size?
If anyone could test it on their end to verify that the issue is happening that would be cool.
Go to http://www.fantasy18s.com/free/a-gallery/ashley/ and press the next button "--------->" 7 times, allowing each image to fully load. It should crash on the 7th click.
Here is a link to the custom.js file that controls the next button:

For about two days now Firefox has been unable to load up images, even in its menus, and the menu buttons do not open up their corresponding windows. The page that comes up when opening a new tab has the first three webpages displayed, but the second three underneath are blank and the boxes are cut off. Things like youtube work fine. What could be the problem?
