can't remove completely crossrider's google+facebook. Some entries in about:config stay there upon unistalling and restarting
I installed google+facebook (crossrider's plugin) and after reading about it (possible malware) i'm trying to unistall it.
Although the button in google+ is gone, firefox's extension manager still shows the message "google+facebook has been unisntalled. «Restart now» or «Undo».
Moreover, in about:config page there are more than 25 entries related to crossrider's extension. I've tried another plugin to clean them (ecleaner 1.1) but they reappear everytime I restart FF.
You can see a screenshot of that entries here http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/.../crossrider.jpg/
Hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
From taking a look at the screenshot you've attached (thanks for that!) it seems the addon is still installed. Please make you sure you don't see the addon in your addons list *after* restart. Anyway, we will re-check this on Firefox 5 and verify again we do clean the preferences after uninstall.
- Re uninstall: it's very easy to uninstall, please check our FAQ page for that (http://crossrider.com/pages/faq#uninstall)
- Re search settings: it should not happened (Crossrider policy is that *if* the extension wants to replace the search engine it must first ask the user!) - anyway, at the FAQ page you will see instructions of how to manually remove the search settings and revert it back to the default Google.
Please let us know if it worked well for you and please shot us an email (support [at] crossrider [dot] com) if there are any other questions/problems.
Best,
Crossrider
And finally, mozilla's kb had the solution :)
(see "uninstalling manually" in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_extensions#Uninstalling_extensions_and_themes )
The trick is: close completely Firefox, go to your profile folder usually located in "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\" for WinXP (or do a *crossrider* search) and delete the folder "crossrider". Restart Firefox.
With this the extension is not listed anymore in the addons manager but there are still 9 entries in the about:config page. Then use again ecleaner 1.1 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ecleaner/ ) to delete these entries and restart Firefox.
It should be completely unistalled and cleaned from Firefox now.
@crossrider: thx for your quick answer and for your interest in solving the problem. Much appreciated
