This Still Hasn't Been Resolved For Me ImportEnterpriseRoots

I've written this back in March of 2024 about Being Managed By Your Organization but after reading all the ones that state "Resolved" I still don't get it! I'm using Win 10 Pro 64 Bit Enterprise and everyday or any time I reboot I have to go into the registry to find Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies and delete Mozilla which the key shows ImportEnterpriseRoots. Now I'm running Avast Premium Security and have dealt with it from what I read about anti virus programs. When it comes to going into C:\Programs\Mozilla\ it doesn't show a folder called Distribution (not sure if that is the correct name but close enough to delete some jason file. I need some plain simply answer to resolve this daily problem. If you need more information please ask since I'm at my whits end dealing with this idiotic injection where even MircoShaft thinks I'm being managed *Some settings are managed by your organization? What organization since I don't have one. Please help a senior at 74 get this resolved.

Thank you and hopefully I'll get the answers I've been looking for. Jan Klassan

Seeing the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification at the top of the Settings page is usually caused by security software that uses GPO policy rules or uses a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the profile folder to inject their root certificate (ImportEnterpriseRoots) in Firefox to be able to hook into your internet connection to prevent getting a connection not trusted error message.

You can click the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification or open the about:policies page to see if policies are active and if errors are reported.

Thank you for your reply cor-el. Regarding about: policies this is what it states The Enterprise Policies service is inactive. So its off. Now regarding my Avast anti virus I have long ago unchecked and it states the following Uncheck the box next to Enable HTTPS Scanning and confirm this by clicking OK.

One thing I'm really confused about is this GOP policy rules? Is there something in their that I should be looking for and disabling it? If so could you let me know where as I've spent some time looking but that needle in a haystack is a bit of a lost cause for this old bloke. Hope you can toss out more suggestions since I wonder why Google Chrome doesn't have this same issue. I have it but don't use it as I really hate it for some of their extension add on's.

cheers, Jan
