I can't open or save attachments

When I click on attachment to open it nothing happens. When I click on attachment to save it I get a alert "Unable to save the attachment. Please check your file name and try again later."

Thank you for replying. I use AVG. But I solved the problem by reinstalling Thunderbird and restarting my computer.
