Hi melen, could you check something? On Firefox's Add-ons page, you will see some extensions have a Remove button and some do not.

  • The ones that have a Remove button are in your current profile (settings) folder and will be removed by the Refresh. To use those extensions again, you need to reinstall them yourself.
  • The others that do NOT have a Remove button are stored in a shared folder. When you start up after the Refresh, Firefox should rediscover them and ask you whether you want to activate them.

If LastPass is one of those second kinds of extensions, you won't need to reinstall it, just reactivate it.

Here's where to check -- either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then you can view the list on the right and see which ones have a Remove button and which do not.

If necessary, the LastPass extension can be reinstalled from their site or from Mozilla's add-ons site, which have different versions for some reason.

I didn't need to refresh FF when I posted this question on 12/6/16. But I've been having "hanging issues" so I will need to refresh now to solve this problem.

If I understood correctly, after I refresh FF, LastPass should be installed again and it will just reinstate all my stored passwords automatically from a stored file I have on my computer. Am I correct? I would hate to lose my passwords. I just want to be sure that this is correct. I'm sure you understand my concern.
