1. Type in the address bar line "about:config" and press enter. 2. Confirm the message. Type the name of the search you wish to remove in the search bar ex: Delta Search. 3. Right-click the entries and click Reset. Restart Firefox.

Your problem by the way appears to be what is set as the newtab
- browser.newtab.url: http://www.delta-homes.com/newtab/?utm_source=b&utm_medium=newgdp&utm_campaign=eXQ&utm_content=nt&from=newgdp&uid=WDCXWD3200BPVT-75ZEST0_WD-WX51A21F9563F9563&ts=1380424174
- the addon mentioned under is the easiest method of resetting that.
See also these general instructions
Note also
- as mentioned in the instructions above there is a special addon that resets Firefox search related preferences and the homepage. It installs, resets things, and then uninstalls itself. But do that after removing any rogue software.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/ - The search used (in Firefox 23 &V later) depends on what is selected at the time in the search bar. The address bar and homepage will use the same search as that. You can easily change that in the search bar options.

It sounds like you have a third party program that has taken over your search engine, home page, and/or the default new tab page. Fortunately, this can be remedied easily:
- At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP), and then click Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
- In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
- Select the toolbar you wish to remove.
- Click the remove button.
- Click "Restart now" if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
After Firefox restarts, install the Search Reset Tool. This will remove the rest of the traces of this program from your Firefox.
For further information, please read Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page.

P.S.
You have another problem causing this, that the reset addon is not able to deal with.
You also have a file user.js in your profile (Firefox settings) That is not a default situation. Unless you made this file yourself it was put there by some other software, probably adware or a hijacker and it is safe to find and remove the file. The safest method is to rename it call it user.js.old1
That removes it from use but allows you to examine it or recover information from it if necessary
- See Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
Noting that the easiest method of locating this is to use the troubleshooting option and then the open folder option (Wording may differ) - also for information see http://kb.mozillazine.org/User.js_file
- Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues
