Firefox crashes

I cleared everything from my recent history, then the computer was running slow then it just crashed. It has been down for a day or two. I am not able to open firefox at all, every time I try to a Mozilla crash report pops up on the screen.

Firefox 8.0.1 Crash Report [@ JSObject::getGlobal() ]

This crashes is fixed on Firefox 9, please upgrade your browser to Firefox 9 and check
