I try to launch forefox but it says it is already running and will not load.

I try to lauch firefox but I get an error message saying that the programme is already running. I need to close the program and re-start. However the programme is not actually running.

I can however launch firefox as an administrator but thsi is theonly way. I have unistalled it then re installed it but with no success. I still get the error message. I have now uninstalled it again.

Check out the "Firefox Hangs" support article, section on "hang at exit": https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+hangs#Hang_at_exit

I'm an XP user, so you might search around for threads by Vista users who might have suggestions on how to resolve this.
