Why is Firefox previewing PDFs and making me then download them to Acrobat, which is set as my default app and has worked perfectly until today?

Since this morning, Firefox previews any PDF I click on, and then I have to manually download it for it to open in Acrobat. Acrobat is set as my system default. I have tried other suggestions found here, such as going into the troubleshooting and checking the folder profile, but nothing works. It is very frustrating.

Since version 152, when a PDF or other file that Firefox opens directly finishes downloading, it now opens in a background tab if you've switched tabs or closed the original page.

I don't think you have to manually download it once again. It's already downloaded.
