There is an option that is absolutely vital in order to keep control of conversations: "Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to".

But for some reason this option is greyed and cannot be chosen. Nowhere it tells you why this option is greyed, how to enable, or even if it's possible. I didn't find any info on the internet neither.

Is this an Exchange or Office365 account set up with the Owl add-on? Some services copy sent messages automatically to a Sent folder, so the option to specify the target is disabled. With regular consumer gmail and outlook.com accounts, it's recommended to uncheck 'Place a copy in' for the same reason.

You might be able to circumvent the restriction with this add-on:
