I can't view any of the site information panel since it is all blocked by a bunch of icons. Attached are some screenshots of the problem. Has anyone seen this problem before? How do I fix this?

It's because one of your addons.

Nope, I have tried disabling all addons and the issue persists.

What addons do you have? Does it happen in a safe mode?

Are you possibly using a userChrome.css file to customize the user interface?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Nope, not running a userChrome.css file. Running Firefox in Safe Mode removes these icons, but disabling plugins and running normally does not. Also tried resetting theme to Default, but that also did not work.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting for changes to take effect.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

Toggling hardware acceleration off did not solve the problem, and my graphics drivers are up to date. This problem has persisted over a couple GPU driver updates, so they are not the culprit here.

Are you sure you do not have a userChrome.css file in the chrome folder in the profile folder ?

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
