Inexplicably, I have lost the list of folders from the left side of my screen. It listed Inbox, Sent mail, Personal folders, etc... but it's gone. I have no idea of how to get it back. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I clicked on the view-layout-folder words

What does that mean? These are commands in the Thunderbird menu system on YOUR computer. You should probably take some time to learn your way around Thunderbird.

There are two ways to get to the View menu. First on the Menu Bar. It might be hidden on your system. Pressing the alt key or F10 will display hidden toolbars on most applications including Thunderbird. The next way is with the AppMenu button. It is a square space with 3 horizontal lines that is usually in the upper right screen area.

Thanks for the help - problem resolved. I'm a 75 yr-old "hunt 'n pecker" and not too familiar with all the terminology. But, I'm learning! Thanks again.
