Can Thunderbird support Other language passwords in IMAP.

I cant able to login with "český","Zhōngwén" passwords.

I can see no bugs filed that indicate it can not,

But I can able to login with the same password in Mac mail client but not in Thunderbird. Do I need to change any settings
